Three-year-old boy hurt in road accident

A car driver left the scene of an accident in which a three-year-old boy was hurt.

The child was taken to Kettering General Hospital and was treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident which happened at 2.50pm on Monday (September 10) on the pedestrian crossing in Oakley Road, Corby, near the Lidl store.

A black Volkswagen Golf was in collision with the boy and a Corby man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the accident and was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police want to establish the whereabouts of the Volkswagen Golf, registration number V154 EJM.
