A man will appear in court later this month in connection with an armed robbery in Rothwell in June.

The 35-year-old, from Leicester, was arrested with two other men on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery for a cash in transit at the Nationwide building society in Bridge Street on June 3.

They were also arrested on suspicion of a similar offence at a Tesco in Bedworth, Warwickshire, four days earlier.

Police from Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire carried out a series of warrants in Leicestershire Wednesday, September 4, as part of an investigation into armed robbery and money laundering across the three counties.

The 35-year-old will appear at Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday, September 18. He is being held in custody.

The two other men have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
