Staff at the Kettering Park Hotel have raised money for Cransley Hospice in the town after taking it in turns to keep an exercise bike spinning for 72 hours.

The event ran from 6am on Friday, February 21 until 6am on Monday, February 24.

The Kettering Parkway hotel’s general manager, Gareth Ireland, got the charity bid under way alongside operations manager George French

Mr Ireland also covered the final hour, from 5am to 6am on Monday.

The so-called “spinathon” was the latest in a series of events organised by the hotel to raise funds for Cransley Hospice.

In May, a team of hotel staff will be taking part in the Three Peaks challenge, in which they will have to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales respectively – in 24 hours.
