THE British Fireworks champions will entertain thousands of visitors at Wicksteed Park’s annual bonfire night extravaganza.
The park’s show, on Saturday, November 5, will boast the country’s best display team, Daventry-based MLE pyrotechnics, who won the British Firework Championships last month.
Organisers hope up to 10,000 people will turn up to the event, which will also include a funfair, a DJ and live entertainment.
Wicksteed Park managing director John Roberts said: “Our annual firework evening is packed with entertainment for young and old alike and, of course, is capped off with our famous display.
“This year is our 90th anniversary, so we are planning a bigger and better event than ever before.
“I would encourage people to book early to ensure that they don’t miss out on what we are confident will be a great event.”
The event will also see performances from finalists in the Wicksteed’s Got Talent competition, including 11-year-old winner Lauren Jones, from Woodford.
Park entertainments manager Maria Phillips said: “It’s going to be an amazing show by the finalists as there were some wonderful performances this year.
“It’ll be the biggest crowd they’ve performed to and everyone is really excited.”
Patricia Asbrey, of Willow Road, Kettering, said: “I’ll hopefully be able to get down to the park this year with my grandson.”
Advance tickets are on sale on the park’s website for £3. They will be available for £4 on the day. For more details go to www.wicksteedpark.co.uk.
