The launch of the Morrisons food online service has brought 30 new jobs to the company’s produce factory in Thrapston.
Morrisons began to deliver its first online orders on January 10 and the manufacturing site in Thrapston is playing a key role – hand packing produce like melons, vegetables and a range of nuts.
Now the retailer is looking to recruit locally for another 30 colleagues to join their team and help with the growing demand.
Vacancies at the Thrapston site include production and warehouse operatives, quality control inspectors, multi-skilled engineers, front line managers and canteen staff.
Anyone interested should contact the site direct for an application form by dialling 01832 736300 or look for more details on the Morrison’s recruitment website.
Morrisons launched its online service with deliveries to Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, before branching out to the Yorkshire area from the start of February.
Thrapston Site General Manager Jonathan Oldfield said: “Everyone at the site is really proud to be involved in such an important part of Morrisons’ strategy. We know there are lots of great people in the area who would fit in well at the site and we will be looking to recruit locally for these newly created positions.”
