A number of garages and sheds were broken into sometime during the evening of January 11 in the area of Harringworth Road, Kirby Road and Southfields Road in Gretton.
Thieves also struck in Rockingham village with incidents reported the day after on January 12.
Following the spate of incidents, PCSO Mark Tooley has urged residents in the area to be vigilant.
A message from him shared on Facebook states: “Can I ask residents to be vigilant and call police if they suspect anything that is out of order, either suspicious individuals or vehicles that are not normally hanging around in the villages.
“In the meantime can all sheds and garages be checked and made secure and if properties have CCTV please check this is in working order.
“The items taken was mainly petrol driven garden equipment, mowers, chainsaws, strimmers to name a few.
“If anyone requires any security advise please contact me on the below email and I’ll be happy to pop round.”
