Police have released more details about a break-in at a care service in Kettering.
Active Support Service in Alexandra Street was broken into overnight on Wednesday (January 13), with police called at 8.45am yesterday morning.
The day service, which supports people with learning difficulties and the elderly, was broken into through the back door with the burglars then smashing an internal wall.
Police have now confirmed that the offenders stole cash, a laptop and a TV among other items.
Mandy Coyne, who works at the centre, says the thieves even stole popcorn.
She said: “Police came and took fingerprints, it was unbelievable, just like out of a film.
“The thieves took a 32in white Toshiba TV, a laptop, money, stamps, popcorn, sweets and chocolate from our learning disability shop.
“The kitchen was a mess, they even took new cans of coffee.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
