Thieves forced a member of staff into a Northamptonshire garden centre before stealing cash as he was locking up.

The incident happened shortly before 7pm on Monday, December 28, as a member of staff noticed a suspicious car in the car park at Beckworth Emporium in Glebe Road, Mears Ashby, as he was leaving the centre.

The driver of the suspicious vehicle then rammed the member of staff’s car before three people got out of the vehicle and forced the man into the garden centre’s office.

The thieves then searched the office and stole cash.

The member of staff did not suffer serious injuries, but he was left badly shaken by the incident.

The thieves were all stocky and wore dark clothes, balaclavas and gloves.

One was about 6ft while the other two were about 5ft 8in.

They all had Northampton or Leicester accents.

Witnesses, or anyone who knows anything about this incident can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
