Thieves escaped with 18 iPads and cash after raiding a school overnight.

Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses after 18 Apple iPads and money were stolen during a burglary at St Lawrence Lower School in Wymington.

The break-in took place between 5.30pm on Tuesday, April 29, and 6am the next morning when the offenders forced open a door at the rear of the school.

Once inside the offenders made their way to the school library where they forced open a safe containing several hundred pounds and stole 18 iPads before fleeing.

PC Julie Jennings, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who saw something suspicious in the area or may have seen the offenders before or after the raid.
