The owner of a Rushden tool shop has spoken of his disappointment after more than £10,000 worth of tools were stolen at the weekend.

Police were called at 6pm on Sunday, September 27, after thieves smashed a hole in the back wall of King Tools in Norris Way.

They then made off with a number of power tools, which has left shop owner Dennis Dangerfield ‘a bit deflated’.

He said: “We’re really disappointed but that’s life nowadays, we have to move on.

“It was a real smash and grab and it’s left us all feeling a bit deflated.

“We’re waiting to hear about the insurance but everyone has been really supportive which I’m thankful for.”

Anyone who may have more information about the incident should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
