Thief demands cash during knifepoint robbery in Corby

Police are appealing for witnesses to a knifepoint robbery in Northbrook, Corby.

The incident took place at about 10.40pm on Saturday (January 12) when the victim parked his car in Gainsborough Road and got out.

He was then approached by a man carrying a knife, who demanded money.

A police spokesman said: “The victim dropped a quantity of cash, which was in a blue plastic bag with a drawstring on the floor.

“The offender picked this up and ran off towards Eastbrook.

“He then got on a black mountain bike and cycled off.”

The offender is described as a white man, about 5ft 11in, of slim build and wore a black hoodie with the hood up over a baseball cap, a scarf covering his face, dark jeans, black gloves and black Nike Air Max trainers.
