COUPLES will have a chance to tie the knot on stage at the Royal & Derngate theatre in Northampton.
The Royal auditorium is now available for weddings and civil partnerships. It will open its doors for its first weddings open day to show how the theatre will look when it is dressed for a ceremony on Sunday, May 6. Couples will be able to see for themselves the intimate on-stage setting where they can take their wedding vows, while family and friends look on from the stalls, boxes and dress circle.
The Derngate auditorium will also be available for weddings.
Operations manager Richard Clinton said: “This is a very exciting venture for us.
“We know this could be a dream come true for couples who want a wedding venue with a unique wow factor.
“We host many events each year and our weddings open day will show just how much we have to offer.”
The open day takes place between 1pm and 4pm.
