A theatre director who was born in Corby returned to the town to run workshops for young would-be performers.
Neil Bettles and his company Thickskin returned to The Core theatre, at the Cube, with a new play The Static.
A spokesman for the theatre said: “Following on from the success of their award-winning production of Blackout in 2011, ThickSkin will be rehearsing The Static at The Core before taking the show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
“The company will return to perform at The Core from September 26 to September 28 as the start of their UK tour.”
The play is a coming-of-age story about desire, guilt and mind over matter.
Neil is a former pupil of The Kingswood School, Corby, and his parents live on the Danesholme estate. He became co-founder and artistic director of Thickskin in 2010.
