THE Kennel Club has paid tribute to Wellingborough’s Ashleigh Butler and Pudsey after their Britain’s Got Talent victory last night.
Ashleigh, 17, who is a Young Kennel Club member, won the competition with 39 per cent of the vote.
She said: “Winning Britain’s Got Talent is a dream come true! Pudsey has been incredible throughout this whole experience, and I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else. Pudsey is my life and by winning Britain’s Got Talent, I feel all of our hard work has paid off. I would just like to thank everyone that has voted for us. I am truly overwhelmed by all the support we have received.”
The Kennel Club has been cheering Ashleigh and Pudsey on throughout the competition and say the duo have shown the country just how much fun you can have with your dog at the same time as demonstrating their fantastic talent.
Caroline Kisko of the Kennel Club said: “We are absolutely delighted that Ashleigh and Pudsey have won Britain’s Got Talent. We have known Ashleigh for years and she has always impressed the judges with her talent and bubbly personality.
“Earlier this year she triumphed at Crufts and last year she took home gold at the International Agility Festival. Even as far back as 2004, she showed she had what it takes as she won our crossbreed dog competition, Scruffts.
“Ashleigh and Pudsey have re-energised Heelwork to Music, and their talent, dedication and creativity have captivated a nation.
“We fully congratulate Ashleigh and Pudsey and look forward to see what they will be doing in the future and hopefully we will be seeing them back at Crufts too.”
