A temporary gym is being opened by Cultural Community Partnerships at East Northamptonshire Council offices – directly opposite the Nene Centre which is closing for refurbishment on August 31.
The existing Nene Centre fitness team will be on hand if anyone needs any help or advice with fitness programmes or exercise regimes.
The temporary gym will be opening from Monday, September 10, and will be open between 9am and 9pm from Monday to Friday as well as from 9am to 5pm at weekends.
The cost will be £9.99 per month and includes group classes (subject to availabity) which will be offered at the nearby Plaza Centre in Thrapston and Snooks in Raunds.
All classes need to be booked in advance.
There is also the option of paying £80 in advance for the whole nine months.
Anyone who joins will receive a new temporary membership card which can only be used at the alternative Nene gym and for group classes held at the venues in Thrapston and Raunds.
Those interested in using the gym can take advantage of a ‘pay as you go’ basis at a cost of £3 per visit, but there will be no ‘pay as you go’ option for group classes which are only available to Nene members.
