A group of teenagers from Raunds has raised almost £1,000 for charity.

Daniel Blakemore, Billy Gradwell, James Shephard, Josh Ashworth and Sarah Chisnall organised a Macmillan coffee morning as part of their work with the National Citizen Service.

Marcus and Becca Mills, the owners of Espresso’s in the town, let the group use their premises for the event.

Daniel said: “My grandparents have had so much help from Macmillan as my grandfather is currently battling an inoperable brain tumour. I know the importance of Macmillan’s work and I wanted to support such a worthy cause.”

The event raised £927.50.
