A 17-year-old boy from Corby suffered serious injuries after being thrown from a car which crashed on the A6003.
A black Ford Fiesta, driven by an 18-year-old man from Corby, was travelling on the A6003 from Kettering to Corby when, for reasons yet unknown, it left the road just before the new roundabout at Barford Bridge at about 12.50am today (Tuesday).
A police spokesman said: “A back seat passenger, a 17-year-old boy from Corby, was thrown from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries.
“He was taken by air ambulance to University Hospital Coventry.
“Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw a black Fiesta or a blue Citreon Saxo shortly before it.”
The driver of the Fiesta and a 17-year-old boy who was driving the Saxo have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and are currently in police custody.
