STAFF at a Kettering travel firm are set to embark on a gruelling challenge for charity.
Nine members of staff at Affinion Travel have confirmed they will be attempting to canoe and cycle a total of 76km in 12 hours in the Three Lakes Challenge.
They will be attempting the feat on Saturday in order to raise funds for cancer charity Macmillan.
Sally Hodgkinson, team leader at the company who is taking part, said: “I really love having a challenge each year and we wanted to do something especially for Macmillan as it’s a cause close to quite a few of our hearts. Mark Turner, our head of operations, already has a challenge for next year in the pipeline although he hasn’t yet revealed what it will be.”
The group has started working towards the gruelling challenge and will be training together as a team.
Last year staff from the firm raised more than £6,000 for the charity by taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge.
