A taxi driver was assaulted in the early hours of the morning after a dispute with three passengers.

The attack happened between 5am and 5.15am on Sunday, November 2, following a disagreement between the driver and three passengers in Horse Market, Kettering.

One of the passengers punched the driver causing facial injuries.

He is described as white and wore a light-coloured T-shirt.

A police spokesman said: “It is believed a number of people were standing at a nearby bus shelter and may have witnessed the incident and officers are urging anyone with information to contact us.”

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the attack, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
