A Rushden optician is urging parents to get their children’s eyes tested this half-term.
Scrivens Opticians, in High Street, Rushden, is warning that many parents could be putting their children at risk by not having regular eye tests.
Branch manager Sara Thompson said that people do not realise the tests are free for people up to the age of 16.
She added: “The Easter holidays is the perfect time to take your children to your local optician and get their eyes tested.
“We don’t want to worry parents – we simply want to raise awareness that expert services are available and are free of charge.”
