Corby and District Sub-Aqua Club is offering people the chance to try diving, as part of the run-up to the London Olympics.
It is staging two sessions at the town’s swimming pool on Monday, July 9, and Monday, July 16, both starting at 8.30pm.
The minimum age for participants is 14 and all they will need to take part is swimming gear and a T-shirt.
Robert McKenzie, club secretary, said: “After the Try Dive sessions, participants can join the club and complete a course to become a fully-qualified scuba-diver.
“The club organises trips abroad for its members each year, as well as visits to the British coast at weekends during the diving season.
“Corby And District Sub-Aqua Club was formed in 1979 and includes members from Corby, Kettering, Market Harborough, Thrapston, Rothwell, Desborough and surrounding villages.
“It meets every Monday in Corby, from 7.30pm, when lectures take place for both new members just learning to dive and existing members who are advancing their qualifications.”
