The sun shone when 10 gardeners invited visitors to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

Desborough Open Garden event was held on Sunday and raised £750 for charity.

The proceeds will be divided between the Desborough and District group of the Wildlife Trust and the town’s heritage centre.

Visitors enjoyed a kitchen garden and a Japanese garden, as well as the national collection of penstemons.

Cream teas and plants were on sale.

Organiser Bob Freeman said: “We hold the event every two years and Sunday’s was a great success.

“The weather was lovely.”
