Hundreds of pupils attended a careers fair in Corby aimed at helping them plan their future.

More than 500 students attended the Employable You event at Rockingham Forest Hotel, organised by Inspire2Exceed.

Pupils from Corby Business Academy, Brook Weston Academy and The Kingswood School met employers from the town and talked about the world of work.

Atkins Engineering, CIM, Ratech Racing, Care Ambassadors, Enterprise Coaching, Solway, Roquette, Tayto, Eveden, Lockhart Garratt, MJR Electrical, RedScar and RS Components were just some of the local and national businesses which supported the event.

Sue Preece, product management executive at Eveden, the Desborough-based lingerie company, said: “It is important for our business to engage with young people and to help them see the career opportunities that are available.”
