More than 75 students from Manor School and Sports College in Raunds will be performing the hit musical The Wiz next week.

It is the school’s first musical performance for more than six years.

The Wiz is a lively adaptation of the Wizard of Oz and originally featured Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow and Diana Ross as Dorothy in the 1978 film.

Manor School’s production of The Wiz will take place on June 27 and 28, from 7.30pm.

A spokesman for the school said: “The show is packed with hilarious acting, amazing vocal performances and our award-winning live band.”

Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for under-16s and are available from the Sports Centre reception, 01933 461459 or from Forget Me Not Cards and Gifts in Thrapston.
