A student at a Kettering school has had his design chosen to feature on a new range of t-shirts designed by sportswear giant Puma.

Bill Wykes-Wright, who has just finished studying at Kettering Buccleuch Academy, was one of only five winners across the country. His shirt will be on sale in shops nationally in October.

Bill’s design, of an angry honey badger, was selected by rapper Professor Green and representatives from Puma.

“I heard a Professor Green interview where he said the best piece of advice was not to be complacent and to fight for what you believe in,” said the 19-year-old from Stanion. “I created an angry honey badger because they fight for what they want.”

He described meeting Professor Green and fellow rapper Wretch Green at the awards ceremony as daunting and surreal.

The academy’s head of art Denise Brandrith said: “We encourage all our students to pursue their ambitions and to achieve more than they thought they were capable of. Bill is an excellent example of the aspirations we have of all our students at Kettering Buccleuch Academy.”

Bill is working on a number of commissions, and can be contacted for a private commission by emailing Bill-R-Wright@hotmail.co.uk.
