Strong gusts of wind have been lashing the county overnight and this morning (Friday, December 27).
The Pitsford Weather Station says it has recorded gusts of up to 41 mph this morning and ones which topped 50 mph overnight.
However, the overall wind speed is currently falling, according to the station’s website.
Despite the wind, the station say’s today’s temperature will be between 6 and 10 degrees Celcius, although wind chill will make it feel colder.
The Telegraph was sent a photo of advertising hoardings in Tanners Lane, Kettering, brought down overnight by the wind.
