Stroke survivors in Kettering are being invited to an event at the Corn Market Hall later this month where they can get information and advice about strokes.
The event, between 11am and 3pm on Wednesday, October 29,has been organised by the Stroke Association in partnership with Kettering Council and Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and is aimed at improving the health and well-being of people affected by strokes.
Maria DeGiorgio, from the East Midlands Stroke Association, said: “This event has been really successful in the past.
“When we held the event last year we had extremely positive feedback, especially on the information we provided on the day to the local community.
“The day will be open to everyone, and will raise awareness of stroke and the risk factors associated with stroke. We’ll be taking blood pressures and giving information about stroke on the day in a bid to help conquer stroke.”
