Store raffle raised cash for charity

MORE than £300 was raised for the Motor Neurone Disease Association through a charity raffle organised by staff at the Specsavers store in Wellingborough.

Customers bought raffle tickets from the Swansgate Centre store.

Tickets, bought by Andy Thomson and Dion Lindsay were picked out as the winners, earning them a new pair of sunglasses and theatre tickets.

They were presented with their prizes by retail director David Williams.

The money raised by the raffle was presented to Maureen Sanders from the motor neurone charity.

The store regularly hosts fundraising events for various charities.

Further charitable events have been planned by staff to be held later on this year.
