Customers and staff at a shoe store enjoyed a pamper day and raised funds for the charity Headway.

The Brantano store at Phoenix Parkway, Corby, picked the charity, which helps people with head injuries, after it supported the family of a member of staff. The event raised £90 for Headway and a second fundraiser is planned for later in the year.

Store manager Luke Pollard said: “It was a brilliant day and everyone enjoyed themselves.

“The customers got into the spirit of the day. We’re looking forward to holding a second event for Headway.”

The store held a tombola and members of staff baked cakes and biscuits to sell.

Customers were given Avon and Body Shop goodie bags and scented candles and drinks were available.
