Staff at a Kettering supermarket are taking it in turns to bust a gut for charity.
Employees at Tesco, on Carina Road, are spending time on a rowing machine inside the store as they appeal to customers to donate to their charity for the year – Diabetes UK.
Staff will be taking part in the challenge from 10am to 4pm today (Friday, May 24) and tomorrow, with customers encouraged to drop loose change into nearby buckets.
“We just like to have different ways of making money,” said charity co-ordinator, Julie Gillies, who said previous bucket collections had yielded between £200 and £300.
The shop’s community champion, Sandra Parker, added: “We try to do something every month to raise money, whether it’s something big or just a member of staff dressing up.”
