A burglar used a spade to force open a window and break in to a Wellingborough house.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the burglary in Norman Way, Wellingborough, which took place between 10pm on Friday, August 16, and 6am on Saturday, August 17.

A police spokesman said: “The offender forced open a window using a spade.

“A bin was also used from a neighbouring property to climb up on and access the house through the window.

“The offender gained entry to the house but nothing was taken.”
