Soldiers ready to tell people about life in the Army

Northamptonshire soldiers who returned from Afghanistan earlier this year will be at Sixfields Stadium in Northampton on Saturday to talk to anyone interested in joining the Army and to collect donations for The Soldiers’ Charity.

Soldiers from C (Northamptonshire and Rutland) Company, 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, will walk out on to the pitch at half-time and will set up a stand at the stadium where people can speak to the soldiers about what life in the Army is like.

Captain Nick Barron, C Company second-in-command, said: “I would say to anyone who is interested in finding out what we do, whether that is as a regular soldier or as a reservist, to come along to the stadium on Saturday and simply have a chat.”
