A group which caters for the interests of retired or semi-retired men is looking for new members.

The Probus Club of Wellingborough was founded in April 1973 by a group of members of Wellingborough Rotary Club who, at that time, were expected to resign from Rotary when they retired.

The club meets for lunch and a talk by a guest speaker in the Masonic Hall, Mill Road, Wellingborough, on the second Friday of every month.

The club also organises many social events including a group holiday, trips to places of interest and three or four “sign and dine” lunches to pubs.

For more details call the club secretary Peter Simmonds on 01933 276126.
