Youngsters in Kettering are busy preparing for a series of panto shows during half term next week.

The Kettering Youth Theatre Group will entertain audiences with its performances of Mother Goose, which take place at the town’s Lighthouse Theatre.

The shows, which are packed with comedy and outrageous costumes, begin at 7pm on Wednesday, October 29 and continue at the same time on Thursday, October 30 and Friday October 31.

There will also be a matinee at 1pm on Saturday, November 1 before a final production at 6pm that day.

Kettering Youth Theatre Group is for those aged six to 22 and is run by volunteers. The group is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.

The group began 40 years ago in 1974, with its inaugural production being Red Riding Hood. Last year’s show was Sleeping Beauty.

Tickets cost £8.50 for adults and £6.50 for concessions. One ticket is free for groups of 12 or more people.
