A motorist who drove without insurance has been given a driving ban.
Carl Dimattia, 27, of Headlands, Kettering, did not turn up to the hearing at Corby Magistrates Court where he was accused of driving his Audi TT without insurance on February 17.
When stopped by police he claimed to be insured by Aviva. But it was discovered the insurance was invalid.
He was given eight penalty points on his licence, which were added to existing points meaning he faces a six-month ban. He was also fined £650.
