Runners and walkers from across the county are being urged to sign up for a race in aid of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).
The Air Ambulance Fun Run, in partnership with Virgin Active, will take place at Billing Aquadrome in Northampton on September 8.
Pete Sochart, manager at Virgin Active Riverside, which has jointly organised the event with the park, said: “We really enjoy hosting the fun run and it is always well attended by people who are keen to help raise money for the WNAA.
“The run has become an established and well-known and loved event in the community and this is our eleventh year.
“The event is a 5km fun run/walk and attracts families, children in pushchairs and on bikes and people walking their dogs, as well as seriously competitive runners.”
The run will begin with a warm up by Virgin Active staff and welcome from the WNAA at about 11am.
Anyone interested in taking part can get more details and download entry and sponsorship forms from www.wnaa.co.uk.
Participants can sign up for the event on the day but they must arrive early to do so.
Peter Angelides, business development director at Billing Aquadrome, said: “We are keen to help support the invaluable service the WNAA provides and we are delighted to be hosting the event again this year with Virgin Active.
“It’s a great way for people to get outdoors and help raise money for the charity.
“People can take part individually or with family and friends.”
The entry fee, which goes to support the work of the WNAA, is £8.50 for adults and £5 for children aged 16 and under.
All those who finish the race will receive a souvenir medal.
