People are asked to support a hospice by wearing fancy dress and taking part in a woodland walk.
Lakelands hospice is holding its annual Sunset Walk on Wednesday, July 10, and this year the event will start from the boating lake café. Registration starts at 6pm for a 6.45pm start.
There is a choice of routes available through the ancient Hazelwood and Thoroughsale woods.
There will be quizzes en-route with some fun games, teas, coffees, cakes and refreshments, and an optional fancy dress competition, where you can wear your underwear on the outside to show your support for breast, prostate and testicular cancer.
You can pre-register your place via the Lakelands website www.lakelandsdaycarehospice.org.uk or call direct on 01536 747755.
Community fundraiser Paul Marlow said: “We’ve decided to bring this event back into the town to celebrate all the hard work in clearing the woods and to show what a beautiful place Corby can be.”
Lakelands continues to provide a valuable service to those with life limiting illnesses and heart problems in the Corby borough; they receive no external funding and rely on the generosity of the people of Corby to continue their work.
