The show will go on this summer - whatever the weather.
Northamptonshire County Council has vowed three outdoor theatre performances will be held in the county’s country parks this summer come rain or shine.
Tickets are still available for the performances which will see Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and E. Nesbit’s The Railway Children performed by Heartbreak Productions at three of the county’s popular country parks.
The first production of Much Ado About Nothing will take place on Friday, June 22, at Brixworth Country Park.
Cabinet member for customer services Cllr Heather Smith said: “Please don’t let the unsettled weather get in the way of you enjoying these unique performances in the beautiful surroundings of the country parks.
“Whatever the weather the plays will go ahead as long as it’s safe for the actors to perform.”
Much Ado About Nothing will also be performed on Sunday, August 12, at Barnwell Country Park.
The Railway Children will be performed on Tuesday, July 24, at Irchester Country Park.
Tickets cost £12 for adults or £8 for concessions.
