Staff at Shire Lodge Nursing Home in Corby have raised more than £200 for entertainment for residents at the home’s annual fete today (Saturday, August 24).

The event was organised by staff to help pay for singers and Christmas pantomimes for residents.

As well as a tombola and games, there was a raffle with prizes donated by a number of Corby hairdressers, Rockingham Speedway and JD Wetherspoon, among others.

Manager Sharon Goodall said: “It’s an annual event and it’s been a success.

“We’d like to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.

“The money raised will be put to good use in paying for entertainment.”
