A dedicated website has been set up for people to share their memories of the Queen’s visit to Corby.
Corby Council has set up the page at www.corby.gov.uk/queen-visit-corby-pictures, which allows people to upload their own snaps and look at the official photographs from the day.
Visitors to the website will need to fill in a short form and then upload their images. These will be sent to the council’s communications office and if appropriate will be added to the website.
Visitors can also share their comments on the day and let everyone know about their experience of the visit.
The council is also looking at putting together a commemorative brochure to mark the occasion, and the best submitted pictures could be used in it.
Corby mayor Mohammad Rahman said: “The Queen’s visit was such an outstanding success. Thousands came out to enjoy the day and there was such a buzz throughout the whole event.
“We therefore want to make sure that everyone can see the fantastic photos that we have of the visit and give them a forum to share their own part of the day. We are hoping that lots of people from in and around Corby send in their photos and thoughts and we can continue to celebrate one of Corby’s most historic days.”
