A woman was sexually assaulted near waste ground in Corby where a dog walker was stabbed just days earlier.
The attack happened on Monday (May 26), between 6am and 6.30am, near the lakes off Pen Green Lane.
A spokesman for the police said: “Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a dark-coloured Vauxhall Zafira near to the lakes at around 6am on Monday.”
On Tuesday, May 20, a woman who was walking her dog in the area was stabbed in the stomach by a man during an attempted robbery.
She was taken to University Hospital in Coventry where she was treated and later allowed home.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the latest attack are asked to contact the police on 101.
