A 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on Saturday as she walked along a cut through between Beanfield Avenue and Barnsley Square, Corby.

The incident happened sometime between 8.50pm and 9pm, after the woman was dropped off in Beanfield Avenue.

She was approached by a man who inappropriately touched her as she walked along the cut through.

The man was white, with a tanned complexion, about 6ft, with dark coloured, short hair.

He was of average build and was aged between 35 and 40.

The offender wore a black hooded top with a pocket on the front, and had a deep voice with an English accent.

During the incident the woman hit the man and believes she may have left a scratch on his face.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information regarding it.
