Book and film fans are in for a treat with the introduction of two monthly film screenings at The Core at Corby Cube.
The Re:View Film and Book Club is a treat for bookworms and film buffs alike, and the Big Scream! screenings give parents and guardians of children under one year old the chance to catch the latest releases with baby.
The first Re:View Film and Book Club meetings take place on Thursday, February 14, at 1.30pm and Tuesday, February 19, at 6.30pm, with Life of Pi as the subject for discussion. The group will talk about Yann Martel’s Man Booker Prize-winning novel for half an hour before the film is screened, after which there will be an opportunity to discuss Ang Lee’s Oscar-nominated movie adaptation.
Life of Pi is also shown as the first ever Big Scream! screening on Friday, February 15, at 10.30am.
Parents and guardians of babies under one year old can see the film accompanied by baby in a safe and comfortable environment, where noise is no concern and babies go free.
I Give it A Year, on Friday, March 15, at 10.30am, will be the following month’s screening.
Admission to Re:View and Big Scream! screenings is at the standard ticket price of £6.50, with concessions at £4.50 for under 16s, students, over 60s, jobseekers and disabled patrons. Tickets can be bought via The Core’s ticket office, with advance booking available online at www.thecorecorby.com and by phone on 01536 470 470.
