Families can enjoy a day at the seaside at Wellingborough Museum on Tuesday, August 7.
Held as part of a series of a events on at the museum over the summer, the seaside day will take place from 10am to 4.30pm.
Children will be able to play in a sandpit and take part in a sandcastle competition.
There will also be puppet making and games, and youngsters will be invited to have a go at Maypole dancing.
There will also be entertainment from a Punch and Judy performer.
Admission to the event is free and it will take place whatever the weather.
There will be a £2 for the barbecue food on offer.
The museum has also recently hosted guided walks around Wellingborough.
A spokesman for the venue said: “We have now held three guided walks around Wellingborough this summer, and we hope that people have been surprised how interesting is the hidden history of the town.
“The Wellingborough Zoo section was repeated in Walk three by popular demand, and we discovered the old Penguin Pool in the Zoo extension.
“There will be one more walk on Tuesday, August 14, which will be the Midland Road area. Just meet up at the Museum at 7pm. We can repeat these walks for groups during the day, on request.”
