MORE THAN 400 Scouts and Guides from across East Northamptonshire raised £400 for Kettering General Hospital’s Little Extras Appeal by taking part in a parade on Sunday.
Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, Brownies, Scouts, Guides, Explorer Scouts and young leaders from Nene Valley District Scouts, the Rushden and Higham Guide Division and the Grafton District Scout Band took part in the parade and service in Rushden.
During the service a collection was held in aid of the Little Extra Appeal for the Children Ward at Kettering General Hospital, which the Evening Telegraph is supporting, and a total of £400 was raised.
Group leaders thanked Grafton District Scout Band for leading the parade and Northamptonshire Police for marshalling the event.
A group spokesman said: “We raised £400 in our collection for the Little Extras Appeal so that was a great achievement. It was a very successful afternoon.”
