Health problems for baby
Baby Jack Wilkinson was rushed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital at just eight weeks old after his jaundice did not clear up.
He was admitted there after being diagnosed with baby liver disease called Biliary Atresia, which affects one in 15,000.
Since then, he has been in and out of hospital, and his weight has plummeted. He is now on the liver transplant list.
The baby’s parents, Anthony and Janet, have also raised awareness about prolonged jaundice after birth, and how important it is to have it looked at.
