Action was taken against two drivers as part of checks carried out on school transport at Friars School in Wellingborough.
A total of 16 vehicles, including taxis and mini buses, were examined during the checks yesterday (Thursday) to ensure passenger safety.
Of the 16 vehicles checked, action was taken against two of the drivers.
The offences were a defective tyre and no number plate lights.
Sergeant Jon Hodgson from the Safer Roads Team said: “The safety of the school’s pupils is paramount, not to mention other road users.
“It is important that standards are maintained and that companies and drivers take full responsibility for their vehicles.”
