CHILDREN from a Wellingborough primary school followed in the footsteps of Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake, the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Take That by performing at the O2 Arena.
About 80 youngsters from All Saints Primary School took to the stage to compete in the Young Voices concert.
They were among thousands of children who sang alongside former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Connie Talbot.
Teacher Amanda Baker said: “Children from Years 4, 5 and 6 travelled to the O2 Arena in London to take part in the Young Voices concert.
“They had spent weeks preparing and learning lyrics and dance moves to new songs and some more well-known such as a Queen medley. It was such an astonishing and memorable experience.
“The children were part of a choir of thousands of children and sang along with stars such as Alexandra Burke and Connie Talbot.
“The concert was attended by many parents and other family members. It was an incredible life experience to sing at the O2 Arena.
“The children even sang during the long and late coach journey home. The first question from all of the children the following day was ‘Can we do it again next year?’.”
