Proud mum Santa Garrett had two early gifts on Christmas Eve – twins Emily Maya and Benjamin William.

Santa and her husband Matthew, who live on the Oakley Vale estate in Corby, are delighted after the birth of their son and daughter.

Benjamin weighed in at 6lbs 9oz and Emily weighed 6lbs 2oz. Both babies, and mum, are doing well.

Santa, 41, originally from Latvia, and whose name means saint, said: “They are perfect and just amazing. It’s a wonderful Christmas story.

“I was feeling tired after the birth but I’ll have plenty of help when I get home.”

Matthew, 38, said: “Everyone is so happy and all the grandparents are thrilled.”

Other special festive deliveries at the hospital’s maternity unit were little Olly Douglas Brooks who was born at 6.03am on Christmas Day, weighing 8lbs and 4oz.

Mum Cheryl Masterson and dad Stuart Brooks, of Coleridge Way, Corby, were looking forward to taking their new son home.

Lana Rose Kennedy arrived early at 2.15pm on Christmas Day, weighing 5lb and 5oz.

Mum Stacy Lewis and dad Hayden, of King Street, Kettering, were expecting their new arrival on January 5.

Stacy said: “It was the best Christmas present ever and Lana’s big brother Joe, who is 15, and big sister Lori, who is 20, are both thrilled.”
