A SALE raised more than £800 for two good causes.

Wellingborough Inner Wheel Club held a nearly new sale at the Tithe Barn in Burystead Place, Wellingborough, on Saturday, March 31, to raise cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Cransley Hospice.

Around £870 was raised in total and the clothes, books and pieces of bric-a-brac which remained unsold at the end of the sale have all now been distributed to other local charities, including the Daylight Centre and the Hope Centre in Wellingborough.

President of Wellingborough Inner Wheel Club, Kathy Gent, said members were pleased by how well the sale went and all the cash that was raised for the two charities.

She said: “Although there was a lot of hard work put in by all the members of the Inner Wheel Club, both leading up to and during the morning of the sale, the final result and with so many beneficiaries have made it all worthwhile.”
